ASCA of Raleigh

North Carolina's first
Adult Survivors of Child Abuse (ASCA) support group

WELCOME to the ASCA Support Group of Raleigh, NC

You are not alone! It was NOT your fault!

Adult Survivors of Child Abuse (ASCA℠) is an international self-help support group program designed specifically for the recovery of adult and adolescent survivors of childhood neglect, physical, sexual, and/or emotional abuse. Based on the work of J. Patrick Gannon, PhD, author of Soul Survivors, ASCA℠ is affiliated with the Norma J. Morris Center of San Francisco, CA..

ASCA-Raleigh began meeting in October 2009 as the first ASCA support group in North Carolina.  Our warm and welcoming meetings offer adult child abuse survivors the opportunity to speak about experiences with other abuse survivors in a safe, anonymous  confidential, and nonjudgmental environment:

  • Peer support group, led by volunteer fellow survivors
  • Meetings follow the 21 Step ASCA℠ recovery program
  • Anonymous- only first names are used
  • Free printed 21 Step ASCA℠ guide provided
  • Complete Survivor to Thriver manual online
  • Donations optional (but appreciated for printing, facility, refreshments, etc.)

MANY thanks to Unity of the Triangle

for offering us a welcoming place to meet
